Dog - Food - Aggression

Having a dog that is aggressive when it comes to food is no fun at all! The reasons for this common problem can differ but often the underlying issues are fear and an insecurity on the dogs' site regarding its place in the family pack. There are some simple tricks in dealing with an food aggressive dog but sometimes professional help is necessary. Your vet might be able to recommend an experienced dog trainer and your local dog training club might offer courses to help correct your dogs' behaviour. In all cases, remember the basic 'laws' of human-canine relationship:
The humans in the pack are always the alphas!
If you and your dog have a problem with this, don't wait until somebody gets hurt by your food aggressive dog, get help.
